Dice Birthday cake
Made this for a friend who recently went to Vegas and now seems to be obsessed with anything to do with. LOL. The dice are rolled to 3 and 1 because he is turning 31. This was my first time working with a square cake. It was a little difficult at first but not too hard that I wouldn't want to do it again.

Valentine's Crayons
I found this project months ago and couldn't wait to actually get started on it. But first was the task of collecting enough crayons to do the project. This is a great way to upcycle all of those bits and pieces and scrap crayons you've got laying around. This is perfect for a Valentine's gift for the young ones but could easily be used as party favors, a weekend project for the kids, and many more fun ideas. Try different shapes and sizes for even more possibilities. Visit Chica and Jo's blog for detailed instructions on this project. Have fun! I did. :)
Super Bowl Football Cake
How could I pass up an opportunity to make a themed cake such as one for the Super Bowl?? I couldn't resist. :)

Lose Weight by Crocheting!!
Okay so this posting doesn't have anything to do with something I've made, but while web surfing for new ideas on crochet, I found this article via another blog, the Crochet Spot, that lists "50 Ways to Cut 500 Calories a Day" listing #21 as "Get out your knitting needles"...awesome!!
Yeah, it says knitting, but since I have yet to bring myself to knit, crochet should get the job done, too! I'm sure Rachel over at the Crochet Spot agrees with me too. lol
Anyways, with all of these new year's resolutions going around by weight loss...I thought this article could offer some suggestions. Now I won't feel like such a bum for spending an entire weekend crocheting. :) Here's the article: http://health.msn.com/weight-loss/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100250356&page=1.
